Wandering through the internet looking for Waxie stuff I stumbled upon Craic Wisely's The Siv's new CD "Derelict Diner" as well.

Is it just me, or does it sound like they could also be a good Caroline Spine cover band too?
I would also like to add that Todd's style is exactly the type of singing that kills me in Rock Band. XD

This weekend is the Michigan Irish Music Festival in Muskegon.

The Waxies will be performing, but only officially for the festival at 5:30pm on Friday (the first act.)
It seems the only reason they got into the festival is by winning the Celtic Battle of the Bands in Ionia earlier this year.  So hopefully they'll be playing again next year more ( Read more... )

St. Patrick's Day... among our group it didn't mean much for many years. Then came along Craic Wisely and we all went, huh? Oh.. Irish and stuff! Right on! One year we tried a Craic Wisely tour from Lansing, back to GR and back to Lansing for 2 days of Craic Wisely. It was fun and we learned a lot from it...

On Wednesday, the bosses closed up shop at Noon-ish and we headed to the Highway Inn for burgers. We stayed there for an hour and I took off. A few stops later, I was on my way to Grand Rapids to Quinn and Tuite's.

I've got a really bad gamer habit that I've been developing over the years and it's starting to annoy me and I'm sure other players and GMs... I get wrapped up in the scene and start to "fill in" for the GM, explaining the situation or adding things in... you know, undermining the authority or control of the GM.  *slaps head*  It's something that I ( Read more... )

So tonight (Saturday) was a semi-private party for Craic Wisely fans, featuring Craic Wisely. It was held in Hamilton, Michigan at one of CW's biggest fan's (Emily) barn. The gathering was somewhat scheduled to begin around 7pm with the band starting at 8pm. There was apparently some forecasts for rain, wind and cool air.

Sooooo.. what's new for me?  Not a whole lot.
Work-wise I'm still working less than 40 hours, but working to get a few extra hours here and there doing other duties.
Money-wise my finances are still under control, but constantly strained (been working too hard to pay off credit cards and loans?)  Maybe I won't be so aggressive to pay those off.
